What this is

MYWATR is a static frontend prototype. Every value shown is generated deterministically in the browser so that the interface can be designed, reviewed and refined before a real dataset is connected. No values here should be quoted as fact.

Methodology

• 194 countries, 24 sub-regions, 6 continents, 9 reference years between 2000 and 2025.
• Aggregates above country level are population-weighted, using the matching population dimension.
• Service ladders are mutually exclusive and sum to 100% within each dimension.
• Field names are preserved exactly: a prefix such as wat_sm with the suffixes _n, _u, _r for national, urban and rural.
• Limited hygiene has no rural series in this schema; the interface says so rather than inventing one.

Why it matters

Water, sanitation and hygiene are measured together because they fail together. A household can have a tap and still have nowhere safe to wash. Keeping the three ladders side by side is the point of this atlas.
